What is roaming?
12-01-27
Your regular mobile network carrier only covers a certain geographical area, which means that when you travel outside that area, you need to purchase additional coverage on a different network. This process is called “roaming.”
Sometimes you can purchase a roaming package that entitles you to a certain number of calling minutes and text messages, or a certain amount of data. These packages are very expensive, and if you exceed the allocated talk, text, or data limits, you run the risk of paying even higher overage charges. Charges for Canadians in the US can reach as much as $1.50 per calling minute and $3 per megabyte.
Roam Mobility has created an innovative partnership with some of the largest established networks in the US. This allows us to offer our Canadian customers unprecedented savings on roaming. Our products connect you directly to our US network, which eliminates roaming fees.
